I am a mother who had my daughter examined today.
The male nurse was very kind to us who didn’t understand the language, and carefully interviewed us over and over again while using a translation app.
The receptionist also contacted the insurance company without us having to say anything, and was very kind. We had been to three hospitals up until this point, but the attitude of the receptionists and nurses at the other hospitals was really bad, we didn’t get a proper examination, and they refused to contact the insurance company. And my daughter’s condition gradually worsened.
The doctor at this hospital also performed an accurate examination, and it took a month to get to this point.
I was able to meet really great staff and doctors.
Finally, I was able to get a satisfactory examination.
There are many urgent care facilities near my home, but unfortunately they are not functioning.
I plan to continue coming here for examinations.
I am very grateful.
Types of Pink Eye We Treat
Conjunctivitis (commonly known as pink eye) occurs when the clear tissue covering the white part of the eye becomes inflamed. We treat all common forms of conjunctivitis in children:
Viral Pink Eye
Often linked to colds or upper respiratory infections. Highly contagious and usually resolves on its own with supportive care.
Bacterial Pink Eye
Typically involves yellow or green discharge and may require prescription antibiotic drops.
Allergic Conjunctivitis
Caused by environmental allergens like pollen, dust, or pet dander. Usually affects both eyes and responds well to antihistamines.
Irritant-Induced Pink Eye
From chlorine, smoke, or soap. Requires rinsing and soothing care.
We also evaluate for more serious conditions if symptoms include light sensitivity, eye pain, or vision changes.

Pediatric Pink Eye: Our Treatment Approach
When you visit our Richmond urgent care clinic for a suspected eye infection, we focus on:
- Careful Diagnosis: Dr. Luke or one of our experienced providers will assess the color of the discharge, redness pattern, and whether one or both eyes are affected. A brief exam and symptom history usually confirm the type of conjunctivitis.
- Customized Treatment Plans
- Bacterial pink eye is treated with antibiotic drops or ointment.
- Viral pink eye is managed with cool compresses, lubricating eye drops, and hygiene tips to prevent spreading.
- Allergic conjunctivitis is treated with antihistamines or allergy eye drops.
We’ll also advise on when your child can return to school or daycare safely.
