Fast Testing for Strep, COVID & Flu
Upper respiratory infections often share overlapping symptoms like sore throat, cough, and fever. Rapid testing helps us determine the cause quickly so we can treat you appropriately and avoid unnecessary medications or delays in care.
We offer the following on-site rapid tests:
Rapid Strep Test
Detects Group A Streptococcus bacteria, a common cause of sore throat and swollen tonsils.
Rapid Influenza (Flu) Test
Identifies Influenza A and B strains–useful for early antiviral treatment.
COVID-19 Antigen Test
Fast results for active COVID infection using a nasal swab.
PCR confirmation
Also available if needed for travel or clinical accuracy.
Results for most rapid tests are available in 15-30 minutes, allowing us to begin treatment right away if necessary.
When Should You Get Tested?
Because strep throat, COVID-19, and the flu can all present with similar symptoms–such as sore throat, fever, fatigue, or body aches–getting the right test helps ensure accurate treatment and faster recovery.
You should consider rapid testing if you experience any of the following:
Sudden sore throat, especially with fever or swollen glands
A sore throat that develops quickly, particularly with painful swallowing, white patches on the tonsils, or tender lymph nodes, may indicate strep throat and should be tested promptly.
Fever, chills, or body aches
These symptoms can be signs of flu or COVID-19. Rapid testing helps distinguish between viral infections so you receive the appropriate care–such as antivirals for flu if caught early.
Cough, congestion, or shortness of breath
Respiratory symptoms that persist or worsen may point to COVID-19, especially if paired with loss of taste or smell.
Known exposure to someone with strep, COVID-19, or flu
If you’ve recently been around someone who tested positive, testing can help protect others and determine whether you need isolation or treatment.
You are part of a high-risk group
Individuals with chronic conditions (like asthma, diabetes, heart disease), pregnant women, and older adults should be tested early if symptoms develop–especially for COVID-19 or flu.
Testing is required for school, work, or travel
We provide documentation and confirmatory testing as needed for return-to-work or clearance for travel or school attendance.
