What’s Included in a School or Sports Physical?
Our physical exams meet Texas school and sports participation requirements and typically include:
- Review of personal and family medical history
- Height, weight, vision, and vital signs
- Heart and lung exam
- Musculoskeletal screening
- Review of past injuries or chronic conditions
- Required documentation for school, sports league, or camp
If your child has a history of asthma, concussions, or other conditions, Dr. Luke can also provide referrals or additional medical clearance when needed.
When Should You Get a Physical?
We recommend completing school or sports physicals at least a few weeks before your child’s activity begins, especially if any follow-up care is needed. However, we also welcome last-minute visits and can often provide same-day clearance when no complications are found.
Walk-ins are always welcome during regular clinic hours, and we aim to keep wait times minimal.
